In Schoolrunner you will be entering a wide range of data via the website and mobile app. Once that information is in Schoolrunner, there are many different ways to view and analyze that information. In this lesson, you’ll review the student dashboard, the analysis page and the groups page and how they can all help you find the information you need when you need it.
Lesson
Introduction (5 minutes) - Why do we enter data into Schoolrunner? The analysis option in Schoolrunner help to make all that data actionable.
Instruction/Trainer Modeling (15 minutes) -
- The Groups page - what filters are most relevant to your team
- Pulling up homerooms and saved groups on the student dashboard
- How to use the Student dashboar
Guided Practice (15 minutes) - In Sandbox with fake data (or production if you have real data in your site)
- Set up a new student group, add existing group to your groups
- Pull up groups on the Student Dashboard page, set different date ranges
- Sort relevant columns in ascending or descending order

- Pull up Analysis page and review the data options available here
Note: in this 101 lesson, focus on one or two examples of data that staff would want to view on the Analysis page.
Independent Work Time (10 minutes) -
- Create more dynamic groups
- Set up saved report and share it with relevant team members.
