Once you've created a report on the Analysis page, you can easily save it for future reference. Click the "Save Report" button at the top right of the page and enter a name.
When you're choosing a name, think of something descriptive and concise so that when you come back to it weeks or months later, you're able to quickly remember what this report is about. If you have multiple schools in Schoolrunner, be sure to mention which school your report applies to, since all of your reports from all of your schools will appear on your My Reports page. If you plan on sharing your report, be sure it will also make sense to the recipients. Hit "Save" when you've entered a name.
Reports save under your name and can be viewed by all Schoolrunner users. Collapse and expand your list of reports by clicking on your name, found under the gray "Reports" button.
For multi-school users, the list of reports you see under your name on the Analysis page are only those created in the school you're currently viewing. However, the list you see on your My Reports page will include reports from all schools.
Reports that you save will update themselves as more data becomes available. If you want your report to cover only a certain window of time, be sure to specify that range in the filter settings.
Once your report has been saved, clicking the "Save" button again will present you with some additional options:
- "Save as New" – creates a copy of your report, leaving the original unchanged
- "Update" – updates your current report to save any changes, and notifies any recipients you've shared the report with
- "Delete" – removes your report from your list, refreshes the Analysis page, and also removes the report from the My Reports page of anyone with whom you've shared the report
You'll also see a section at top labelled "Currently Editing" that displays the name of the saved report you're looking at. This is to provide confirmation of the report that is currently loaded in the event that you
- load a saved report,
- make changes to the dataset or filter options, and
- want to save those changes.
You can also check your browser's address bar to confirm which report is currently loaded on the page. Look for the "analysis_report_id" ID number at the end of the URL.
