How can I analyze student performance within a specific department?

You can filter any of the four academic datasets (assessments, course grades, student assessment scores, or student standard scores) by department. This allows you to focus on results from a single department instead of all results at your school. 

Start by choosing the dataset of your choice. Pro Tip: if you're not sure what the distinctions are between datasets, simply hover over the tile to get a bit more detail.

Whichever dataset you choose, click into the "Results Filter" menu and locate the "Department" dropdown. This is where you filter for just the department(s) that you want to see. And, of course, you can use other filters too. Once you've configured your report, hit the "Load Data" button.

Once your report is loading the right data, break it out and view in whatever way makes the most sense for you. Learn more about the different ways your chart can be displayed or take advantage of the pivot table.
