How can I analyze communications?

Use the Analysis page to get a clear picture of how often staff members are contacting home.

Choose "Communications" as your dataset, then break it out using the staff member. Select "Total" so that records are organized by frequency of communication. This allows you to easily see which staff members are most frequently in touch with their students’ parents and guardians.

If you're interested in taking a closer look at a smaller number of staff members you can select them from the "Staff Member" dropdown under the "Result Filters" tab.

You can then also choose "Donut Chart" under "Chart Type" and "Communication Method" in "Series Breakout" to to get something that looks like this, showing you the breakdown of how staff are communicating. Looks like it's almost all phone calls, with a few texts sprinkled in.

Use the "Pivot Table" tab to see more details on what everyone is talking about when they reach out. Set "Left" to "By Staff" and "Left Breakout" to "Communication Topic".
