Can "Enter Grades by Level" be the default?

Yes! Visit your Settings page and open the "Academic" section. You'll see a "Default to Enter Grades by Level" setting.

If you have more than one school in Schoolrunner, set this to "Yes" at the district level (left-hand setting column), and assessments in all of your courses at all of your schools will start as "Enter Grades by Level".

If you just want to use this setting at one of your schools, use the right-hand setting column.

Note that this setting can be ignored or overridden by individual courses. So if most of your courses should have their assessments start as "Enter Grades by Level", turn this on and then individually modify any exceptions.

Likewise, if this setting would be helpful for only one or two courses at your school, leave the school/district-level setting alone, and make changes directly to those courses.
