Where do I start on the Settings page?

The Settings page (Setup>Settings; "Edit App Settings" permission required) sure does have a lot of options. It can be overwhelming, but a bit of orientation will help.

The Settings page is organized into different sections, each of which has a collection of settings. Read more about the specifics of each section here.

When you expand a section, you'll usually see two columns for each setting. The left column is for district settings. The right column is school-specific (check the top right of Schoolrunner to confirm which school you're working in).

If you have only one school in Schoolrunner, the distinction between these two columns is moot. But if you have multiple schools, you can configure the same setting for all of them at once in the left column, and then make school-specific adjustments/exceptions in the right column (make sure you're working in the right school).

Next to each setting title, you'll also notice a small clock icon. If you need to figure out when a setting was changed – or if it was changed at all – hover over this. You'll see a window detailing any changes that were made, who made them, and when they occurred (hover over the timestamp for more specific date and time details).
