How do I add a School Logo to Report Cards?

Image Format

Before uploading the logo, we need to make sure that we have the proper format for the logo image. Here are the requirements:

1. The image needs to be in PNG format
2. There must be no background on the image or the background must be transparent. 
    

Converting a JPEG and removing the background image using MacOs:

1. Right-click on the image and select open with "preview.app".
2. Use the "markup" option. 
3. Select the "Instant Alpha" tool, which looks like a magic wand. 
4. Click and drag over the background, and once it selects the core of the logo, press "Delete" on your keyboard. 
5. If the image is in JPEG format, it will ask if you want to convert it to PNG, which is perfect since that's the required format. 
6. That will automatically save the image as a PNG without a background, which will leave it ready to upload in Schoolrunner.

Converting a JPEG and removing the background image using Windows:

1. Open the image using the custom Picture app from Windows.
2. Click on "edit".
3. Click on the "background" tool.
4. Select the "remove" background option (usually the middle one). 
5. Save a copy as a PNG. 
6. The image will be ready for upload in Schoolrunner.

Uploading the image in Schoolrunner for report cards

1. A user with the "Edit App Settings" permission in Schoolrunner can upload the logo once it's in PNG and without the background. 
2. The user must go to Setup > Settings > Click on "Expand all" > Search for "Logo" > Click on Edit on the desired schools column to upload the logo.
   
   
3. It will prompt you to select a file from your file manager and make the upload. 
4. Once the upload is ready, click on Save. 
   
   

5. The Report Cards will now show the logo successfully.
