You can check both daily attendance and class attendance in Schoolrunner. Note that your child's school may not log both types of attendance, so what you actually see will depend on what the school tracks.
Daily Attendance
The "Attendance" link in the web portal will show you your child's daily attendance records. Each daily attendance record represents your child's attendance for an entire day – i.e. Arianna was considered "Present" for all of Monday, or "Absent" for all of Friday.
The summary box in the bottom left gives you a quick overview of all daily attendance records for your child. You can also use the filters above it to look at certain types or records, or daily attendance for a specific time frame, like last week or this month.
Be aware that some schools only log records when a student is absent or tardy, so if you don't see a record for a given date, it usually means that your child was considered present.
Class Attendance
Click the "Class Attendance" link to view class attendance records, which represent your child's attendance in each course or period throughout a given day. Unlike daily attendance, which only has one record per day, your child can have multiple class attendance records for a single day.
Use the summary box in the bottom left to get a quick overview, and note that there are additional filter options so that you can check on your child's attendance in certain courses, or with certain teachers.
