If you see a red error message that says "Invalid Student Access Code", it means that you're trying to create a parent/guardian account with an access code that is either expired, cancelled, or incorrect.
First, double-check the code you have. These codes are long and typos are easy to make.
If the code is entered correctly, this message indicates that the code you have has either been:
- cancelled or replaced with a newer code OR
- the code has expired. Codes expire at the end of each school year, in the summer. If you're trying to use an access code from the previous school year, it won't work.
In either case, please contact the school for an updated code.
Note that you only have to enter an access code once per student. Once you create a Schoolrunner account, you can use your email and password to log in, and you no longer need the student access code. If you want to add another student to your account, see this article.
