Schoolrunner's "Edit All Grades" permission lets you determine if someone can edit grades for all courses instead just courses that s/he teaches. This is a tool for securing the integrity of your academic data, so making sure that only the right people have this permission is important.
A quick way to make sure that the "Edit All Grades" permission is granted to the right people is to type "edit all grades" into the search bar your Users page. This filters your user list to show only those people that have this permission (via their group memberships).
The search bar on the Users page looks across all columns, so you can use it to search for people, email addresses, school access, permissions, and group membership.
Anyone whose name is shown after searching for "edit all grades" is in one (or more) user groups that has the "Edit All Grades" permission.
If you see someone who shouldn't have that permission, you can either:
- Remove that person from the user group(s) that grants him/her the permission.
- Remove the permission from the user group(s) that person belongs to. Note: this will affect everyone else in the user group(s).
If someone should have the permission, but does not show up, you can either:
- Search for that person and then add him/her to a user group that already has the permission.
- Add the permission to a user group that person is already a part of. Note: this will affect everyone else in the user group.
