School Setup: Bulk Upload Sections and Enrollments – Schoolrunner

The "Sections" tab lists out every section at your school. As a reminder, a "section" is a group of students that take a course (or courses) together. Multiple sections can be mapped to a single course.

You can add, edit, or deactivate sections, and the enrollments within them, in bulk. Click "Upload" to reveal the import/export section. Then, click "Download import template".

The .csv file you download will list all active sections, including both active and inactive enrollments within those sections. The file will include inactive sections as well, if you toggle the "Show Inactive" button first. Don't modify any column headers or the import may not work (including "Schoolrunner Student Attribute Import v1" in cell A1).

Here's an overview of the columns. Note that three fields are marked Option in the "Required" column. This means that Schoolrunner requires one (but not all) of these fields to have data in it.

When you're finished working in the spreadsheet, be sure to save it as a .csv and then drop it back into Schoolrunner in the same section from which you downloaded the template.

Pay attention to any errors that are displayed. An error will prevent all changes in your file from being processed. Address any issues mentioned by the errors in your spreadsheet, save, and re-upload. Contact Schoolrunner support with any issues you can't resolve yourself.
