Homepage – Display the Consequence of Student Incidents for the Duration of Consequence

The Schoolrunner homepage currently is able to show a summary of students who receive attendance codes, as well as a summary of any student incidents that occurred on a given day.

If a student is involved in an incident and receives a consequence with an attendance code linked to it, that student will show up in the corresponding attendance section on the homepage for the duration of the consequence. However, if a student receives a multi-day consequence that isn't tied to an attendance code, that student won't show up in any summary boxes on the homepage (except in an incident summary on the day of the incident).

We understand that some users would like to see some sort of summary on the homepage that indicates which students are serving the consequence of an incident, regardless of whether or not that consequence is tied to an attendance code. The usefulness of such an improvement is pretty evident, but it'd be great to know a bit more about how you think this could/should work:

• would you like to see a dedicated summary box for incident consequences?
• or perhaps a subsection of the Incidents Today section for consequences?
• should students who are serving a consequence that is tied to an attendance code be double-listed (once in the attendance summary section and once in a possible Consequence Today section?
• other thoughts – would this be beneficial to you? do you have many incident consequences without attendance codes linked to them you'd like to track? would something similar be more useful elsewhere in the site?
