The My Reports page is where you can easily see all the reports that are important to you. Find it under the Analysis menu in the header atop any page.
When you first load the page, no data will be displayed. Start by choosing from your list of reports, or click the "Create New Report" button if you want to go to the Analysis page and create a new report from scratch.
On the left side is your list of saved reports. This list will show you all the reports that have been shared with you (identified by the orange "shared" icon) along with those which you have personally created and saved. Your shared reports will be listed in alphabetical order, and the reports you have created yourself will be listed in alphabetical order after that. Have a long list of reports? Not a problem! Use the search bar to filter down your list down to find the one report you're looking for.
If you have multiple schools in Schoolrunner, and you have saved/shared reports at more than one school, you will see all of your reports in this list. This is another good reason to give very descriptive names to your saved reports, so you don't mix up similarly-named reports at different schools.
Interactions
Once you have a report pulled up, the main window of the My Reports page will display that report's data. Click through the tabs to view the data in different ways: as a chart, in a pivot table, or as a list of the raw data. Each tab allows you a few ways to interact with the data.
When viewing the chart, you can use the radio buttons at the top to control how the the chart is sorted.
- In the pivot table tab, you can click column headers to sort the data according to that column.
- You can also download a .csv file with data arranged exactly as it is on your screen by clicking the "Download" link at the top right.
- The same goes for the raw data tab – you can sort by columns and download .csv files of your data.
Click on any bar in the chart tab to view the raw data represented by that bar only (as opposed to the raw data for everything represented in the chart). You can also go back to the chart tab, click another bar, and have that data appended to specific raw data you previously selected. Click the "Clear Filters" link in the raw data tab when you want to view all of the raw data once again.
Additional Info
There are a few other things to be aware of on the My Reports page. When you're viewing a report, you'll always see three buttons in the upper right.
The gray button on the left will refresh the report, in case you want to ensure that it's including the most up-to-date information. Clicking the refresh button will start reprocessing your report and your screen will refresh automatically once the reprocessing finishes. The time of this will vary based on the amount of data in your report.
The blue button in the middle will show you metadata for the report, including when it was created, when it was last modified, and when it was last run (refreshed). It also includes information about which filters apply to your report.
Lastly, the orange button on the right is the "Edit" button. Click this to open the report on the Analysis page. If you're editing a report that has been shared with you, you can make changes and save a copy of it without affecting the original report. If you're editing a report that you have created yourself, you'll be able to modify your existing report, save a copy of it, or delete it entirely.
Reports that have been shared with you will have an orange "shared" icon to the right of their names. You can click this icon to see who created it, when it was created, when it was last modified, and to whom else it was shared. Also, if you no longer want to see a shared report in your list, contact the person who shared it with you. That person will be able to un-share it with you, removing it from your list on the My Reports page.
